Lt Gen Sagat Singh
Lt Gen Sagat Singh was a Rathore Rajput of Bidawat sub clan .His ancestor Guman Singh was given a grant of 600 bighas and the village of kusumdesar in Churu in 1776 to establish his own thikana.Father of Sagat ,Brijlal Singh joined the Bikaner Ganga Risala of the Bikaner State Forces,saw service in World War 1 in Mesopotamia ,Palestine and France and retired as Company Quarter Master Havildar (Sergeant ) just prior to World War 2 .He carried a certain aura around him and though he was a non commissioned officer,due to his imposing personality , all ranks used to address him as sahib.
